We're looking for an Energy Champion to join 'Community Enery People', a project funded by Community Energy Pathways thanks to the National Lottery Community Fund.
Based in Felixstowe but serving the wider East Suffolk area, the project advises residents on all aspects of energy usage, with the aims of improving comfort, reducing cost and pivoting toward clean renewable energy solutions.
We are looking for someone with experience working in local communities, ready to get out there and engage with local people. As an Energy Champion you'll need excellent inter-personal skills, capable of confidently engaging the public at our Felixstowe Hub, in community meetings and at events, and on home visits where appropriate.
We'd particularly love to hear from you if you have previous experience or understanding of Community Energy, both in terms of energy saving and renewable energy. However this is not a necessity—we’ll provide training, and a level of knowledge about energy usage and efficiency as well as an appreciation of Renewable Energy technologies.
